Dave and Jonathan answer a listener question from Ron from Oneonta. Ron asks if he should sell his land and timber together, or harvest the timber before he sells the land?
Dave: Well, Jonathan, it was another great Land Show, man. We started off with a friend of yours Dr. Randy Haddock, he's a field director for the Cahaba River Society, told us all about the lily bloom.
Johnny: Yeah.
Dave: And everything that's going on, I know that's something near and dear to your heart.
Johnny: I love it, it's beautiful. We went up to see that in West Blocton last week. And it's, if you get a chance to say to see the Cahaba lilies in bloom, it's really special. And then we went and talked to our good friend, Ryan Folk, who he's there, the Land Flip and Land Think, they're sponsors of The Land Show. And we talked to him just about what the current trends that he's seeing in the rural land market, across the country. And... he confirmed that the Southeast is really the place that folks want to be.
Dave: Yeah, yeah, I mean, the land market's booming everywhere but the Southeast is kind of the crown jewel, and we're right here in the heart of Dixie
Johnny: Absolutely!
Dave: Where the jewel, and, then Randall Upchurch brought our farm lender report really interesting information about the chicken shortage and why that's happened and kind of, Randall went deep
Johnny: Yeah
Dave: And brought some good information about what's happening now and what will probably happen in the future.
Johnny: Talking about those chicken wings, made me little nervous though. I hope I get those back online soon. And then we wrapped it up with a listener question from Ron, from Neonatal. That's a little bit of a tongue twister, but Ron asked us about whether it's better to, to cut the timber off his 80 acres before he tries to sell the land, or should he sell it all together? And as always, we said, it depends. And we talked about those
Dave: With those various scenarios
Johnny: Yeah, we did. So we appreciate listener questions. You can send those to us at info@thelandshow.com We love to get those.
Dave: Absolutely. And folks, we appreciate you watching this video review and encourage you to listen to the entire Land Show with Dave and Johnny.
