Dave: Well, Jonathan, it was our sixth anniversary show, man. Congratulations.
Johnny: Thanks, man. It's good to be with you for six years.
Dave: Well, you made it happen.
Johnny: It's been a long haul, brother.
Dave: You've done the bulk of the work. I'm like a way a big man, I just show up and laugh. Those that are old enough to remember the old Johnny Carson show, but great to have Commissioner Rick Pate on.
Johnny: Yeah
Dave: He was at Moultrie representing the state of Alabama and there as an ambassador. And talked about all the great things going on with the Ag and Industries. He's our Ag and Industries Commissioner, and it was a tremendous segment.
Johnny: Yeah. I like commissioner Pate, he's a lot of fun. Then we talked to our good friend, Randall Upchurch. Who's still at the Sunbelt Ag Expo today. Just talked about all the cool stuff that he's seeing, tractors, and all the things that turn grown men back into boys and make them want to buy those. And that pork chop sandwich sounded really good.
Dave: Oh man. Yeah, it did. PoultrySouth has been there for years and we just talked about the poultry industry
Johnny: Yeah.
Dave: It's growing by leaps and bounds. And then we went to, who'd we go to next? Big Ben Elliot, Big Ben Elliot. He came in the studio with us. He's one of our fine sponsors with Alabama Ag Credit here. They make it happen. They were our first sponsor.
Johnny: That's right.
Dave: We got started in studio there in Opelika and now we're here in Montgomery. And Big Ben talked about all the good programs going on with Alabama Ag Credit. He's also a local cattle farmer, and we talked about that. And then we talked about ex-SCC lineman at Auburn, coaching youth soccer.
Johnny: That's right.
Dave: That's a natural fit.
Johnny: That's an interesting picture there.
Dave: That's right, and then we wrapped it up with Brian Watts, who's the president of our Timber Sales Division with Southeastern Land Group. And Brian talked to us about some of the things people were doing to manage their property. If they find that they have beetles in their timber and that sort of thing.
Johnny: And how it's really kind of helping to relieve some of the glut of timber that we've seen in the Southeast.
Dave: Yeah, that's true. And heavy hardwood demands right now. We talked about that, a lot of good timber sales, helping folks with Timber Sales Division with Southeastern Land Group. And folks, those that have been following us for the last six years, we appreciate it. And you know, is this our last show today?
Johnny: No, I hope not.
Dave: We're going to keep going a little bit longer, but we appreciate you watching this review, and encourage you to listen to the entire Land Show with Dave and Johnny.
