Russ Walters

Russ graduated from Auburn in 2002 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. After college, Russ worked as an agricultural land lender with First South Farm Credit before joining the Southeastern Land Group team in 2014. Russ is a 4th generation farmer who lives on his family farm in South Alabama with his wife, Claire, and twin daughters. At his farm, Russ manages 1800 acres of cotton, peanuts and timber.Farming is a way of life for Russ and his family. It gives Russ great satisfaction to use his years of farming, finance and real estate experience to help farmers buy and sell farms.

Adam Newton

Adam grew up in South Alabama, spending much of his childhood and teenage years working in both farmland and timberland operations. Adam played college football at Samford University in Birmingham. He guided saltwater fishing trips in the summers and ultimately, after an injury knocked him out of college football, Adam finished college at Auburn graduating with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Adam, his wife, Emily and their 3 sons live in Hartford, KY. Before joining the Southeastern Land Group team, Adam had a thriving career as a crop advisor, providing chemicals, fertilizer and seed products on site to farmers in Western and Central Kentucky. Adam’s background of hard work, education and providing for farmers’ needs to help them maximize yields, makes Adam the ideal trusted advisor to help farmers buy and sell farms.

Customized Sales and Marketing Plan

Russ and Adam understand that each farm is different, and that each farm deserves a customized marketing and sales plan that highlights the unique features of a particular cropland-oriented farm. Russ and Adam work with their 70+ regional Southeastern Land Group partners, who are part of the 10 state Southeastern Land Group team, in order to craft a marketing and sales plan for a particular farm that is international in scope, while taking into account the local markets and making sure that we have committed team members involved who will put their boots on the ground to get the job done.
