Dave: I'm glad to be back in the saddle with you this week.
Johnny: Yeah, man, it's good to have you. We've been taking turns having various ailments.
Dave: Yeah.
Johnny: So, it's good to have you back.
Dave: Well, we want to thank all our sponsors. We don't take time to do this enough, all the sponsors behind us that sponsor the Land Show, make it happen. And one of which that we had come on, we had the LANDFLIP, the LANDTHINK network. One of its owners, founders, Mr. Ryan Folk really gave us a great overview of today's market, kind of where we've been and where we're going, some trends. They have a great question and a pulse question about what's driving markets. It was really an interesting segment.
Johnny: Yeah, about 40% of people now are wanting to purchase rural land to live on it, which is a shift in the-
Dave: Big shift-
Johnny: ... 14 years I've been doing this, for sure. So, it was good talking to Ryan. Then, we went over to Tuscaloosa to talk to Lyle Gilbert. He is the owner of Houndstooth Game Calls, produce a great turkey call. He was talking to us about the National Wild Turkey Federation Convention in Nashville last weekend, said it was a fantastic show and then talked about some of his product lines. Now, you can say there are three good things that come from Tuscaloosa-
Dave: I know, I told Lyle, "There's only two good things that come out of Tuscaloosa. It's the Dreamland BBQ Sauce and my future daughter-in-law [Lexi 00:01:21], who graduated from Tuscaloosa." No, we had a little fun when I said, "Now there's three good things. We're going to add Houndstooth Game Calls." So, it's all about... My son's a big Auburn man and turkey hunter, and he loves Houndstooth-
Johnny: Yeah, they make a great call.
Dave: It's a tremendous, tremendous call. We had a great show at the National Wild Turkey Federation Show also, Southeastern Land Group. It was just a great time and really tremendous event there.
Johnny: Yeah, for sure. Then we went to Mrs. Pam Swanner. She is the director of the Alabama Black Belt Adventures Association. She recapped the big buck photo contest that they had. We sponsored that. It was a great event. Young woman from Tallapoosa County killed a monster buck in Macon County. There are 113 people entered that contest this year, so it was really big contest.
Dave: Pam's done a great job leading that organization for a long time and really done a lot of good over the years, glad to have her on. We wrapped up the show. We brought in the closure. We had to go all the way up to Kentucky to find him-
Johnny: That's right.
Dave: ... for our Farm Land Report, Mr. Randall Upchurch. He was showing a poultry farm in Kentucky with one of our newest agents, Mr. Adam Newton. That's Bill's nephew. So, they're doing a great job up there selling farms in Kentucky. So, Jonathan, it was another great show.
Johnny: It was a good show. I'm glad we were both in today. It's always nice when we can be.
Dave: Well, folks, we appreciate you watching this video review and encourage you to listen to the entire Land Show with Dave and Johnny.
